Statement of Beliefs

FOUNDATION:

This church is built upon the same foundation as the original New Testament Church. Paul said that the church was built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone (Ephesians 2:20). Jesus said to Peter, "Upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates ofhell shall notprevail against it. " (Matthew 16:18).

ORIGIN:

The church began on the day of Pentecost with the initial outpouring of the Holy Ghost. "And when the day ofPentecost wasfully come, they were with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a soundfrom heaven as a rushing mighty wind, and itfilled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as offire, and it sat upon each ofthem. And they were allfilled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." (Acts 2:1-4)

ONE GOD:

This church believes in the existence of one God. "The first commandment is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is One Lord, " (Mark 12:29). Also see: Ephesians 4:6; I Timothy 3:16; Isiah 45:5.

THE BIBLE:

The church believes that the Bible is the divine, inspired Word of God. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof for correction, for instruction in righteousness, " (2 Timothy 3: 16).

GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT:

The church believes in the operation of all the gifts of the Spirit, for the edification of the Church.(1 Corinthians 12:7, 1 Corinthians 12:7-10).

HOLINESS:

The church believes in living the beautiful lifestyle of holiness (Psalm 29:2, 2 Corinthians 7:1, Hebrews 12:14).

DIVINE HEALING:

This church anoints with oil and prays for the sick for divine healing. (James 5:14-15).

FIVEFOLD MINISTRY:

This church believes and recognizes the importance of these ministries in the perfecting of the saints, the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. "And he gave some Apostles, some Prophets, some Evangelists, some Pastors and Teachers," (Ephesians 4: 11-14).

Perfection will tarry until all five gifts are established in the church.

WORSHIP:

The church follows the original pattern of worship characterized in the Bible.

We all pray together or in unison. (Acts 4:24)

We Sing With All Our Hearts. (Psa 95:1, Eph 5:18-19)

We Play Musical Instruments. (2Sam 6:5)

We Clap Our Hands. (Psa 47:1)

We Lift Our Hands. (Psa 134:2, 1Tim 2:8)

We Shout Unto God With Loud Voices. (Psa 47:1)

We Praise His Name In A Dance. (Psa 149:3)

We Testify Publicly. (Matt 10:32)

PLAN OF SALVATION:

The church believes that grace through faith, repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus

Christ, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost is the original plan of salvation commanded by

Christ and preached by the apostles.

For example:

We Believe That Grace Through Faith Is The Basis of Salvation (Ephesians 2:8, Mark 16:15-17, John 3:16, John 7:38, Heb 1 1-6).

We Believe In Repentance To God For Forgiveness  (Acts 17:30, 1 John 1:9).

We Baptize In Water In The Name Of Jesus Christ For The Remission Of Sins (Acts 2:38, Matthew 28: 19).

We Believe in Receiving the Infilling (Baptism) Of The Holy Spirit With Evidence of Speaking in Tongues (Acts 2:4, Acts 2:39).
